Last year, the popular 29-year-old Travis Pastrana took home the checkered flag in the fourth race of the Global Rallycross season at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and finished 10th in the final series standings. Now that Dodge and SRT Motorsports have announced that they’re bringing Pastrana back aboard for another season, Dodge hopes Pastrana will repeat or place even better 2013. It holds the same high hopes for Pastrana’s racing partner and pilot of the second Dart, Bryce Menzies.
Unlike the standard Dart, the Dart Rallycross Car delivers a total of about 600 horsepower through an all-wheel-drive system. With the extra 416 horsepower, the Rallycross car can reportedly sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under 2 seconds.
The 2013 GRC season begins April 21 in Brazil.
Most people store their tires in their garage or storage unit. Many use tire bags or tire racks, but most people just stack them on the floor. For longer life and to insure that the tires maintain their capabilities, tires must be stored properly. There are many ways to compensate for poor traction in winter weather, some people carry tire chains but they are only useful in extreme conditions and all but the most expensive are difficult and dirty to install. All-wheel drive & four-wheel drive systems only deliver power, they don’t stop or turn any better than two wheel drive systems. The best choice for safe driving in cold weather is a snow tire or a winter tire with the snowflake on mountain symbol.
